Workshop 2: Dreamtime Architecture: Sacred Dreaming with the Lakota

Coming from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Christopher Allen Brewer's earliest teachings dealt with another world, a place where one can commune with their ancestors, receive messages and visions from the Creator - a place of prophecy, where everyone has a duplicate self which roams astral spaces in search of wisdom and meaning. That world is known as the Dreamtime, a place which elders believe to be more real than our waking life. In his youth, after his grandfather bestowed him with the name Mato Cante, Christopher found the architect of that dream world offering a communion unlike any other - one which frequently spilled out into his waking life - a higher call toward oneness amid the challenges of finding balance between two dimensions.

Christopher's grandfather was Sidney Byrd, a holy man and ordained minister from the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe, who counseled him about the dream spirits who visit us nightly yet speak another language - a symbolic one. Part of his teachings involved interpreting visions and bringing them back across the boundary between worlds. With this presentation, Christopher will focus on the art of sacred dreaming - the sacred signs, symbols and messengers sent to us by the Creator which reveal themselves in our sleep and in our waking lives. Highlighting that incorporeal midnight frontier we each cross in our sleep, whether or not you engage with your dreamtime, this presentation will resonate with anyone seeking spiritual guidance and illumination - or simply a sacred space where one can align with spirit.

Join one of the stars from Paranormal 911, Paranormal Nightshift, Haunted Hospitals and several other programs showcasing the supernatural. Oglala Lakota and paranormal television personality Christopher Allen Brewer will share Native wisdom, deeply personal stories, synchronicity and high strangeness - a celebration of the surreal in the odd echoes of a duplicate dream world superimposed over ours.
